The Town of Burnsville plans to provide at the gateway to its Town Square an attractive and inviting Town Center which will showcase and promote the area's identity of:

Agriculture : Arts and Crafts : Education : Performing Arts
Natural Resources : Community : Small Business Enterprise
Not for Profit Businesses : Health consciousness

And in doing so, hopes to meet the community's needs for a gathering place, maintain a viable downtown area, encourage economic growth and help the community grow culturally. This will encourage individual and community groups to find their voice and provide things to do for Yancey county citizens and visitors.
